Went with five others (Moh, Titan, Joyce, Mervyn and Ricky). Started nine plus, ended about one pm. Quite some time spent on photography. It was drizzling on the second half of the journey. Bukit Tabur (Tabur Hill) is a high-risk climb but not difficult - although no rock climbing skills are required, one needs to have good grips on the rocks and crevices. There have been cases of accidents (especially falling off cliffs) resulting in near fatal injuries. One such incident is here (new window), where a climber fell 30 metres to the rocks below.
There are two parts to Bukit Tabur, West side and East side. The West side has parts of its hills equipped with ropes to facilitate the climb from one section to another. The East side, I was told by my father, is more demanding - there are almost vertical sections of the hill that require the climber to traverse with ropes of about 30 feet in length.

Just a few days from a hiking exercise, I was told by a hiking kaki that the place (aka "Ah Pek" san) is now closed. A little search on the Net confirms it - closed for good! However, there is an alternative way in! That hill is a beautiful place for exercise and training - for the old and the young, and dogs. The waterfall is the attraction though getting there requires a little bit more stamina, and you have to finish all six levels before reaching there.

It has been a while since we last been there - found out Sunway Pyramid has been refurbished - opportunity for some photography. There is a new extension block. Further, The One Academy was having a horse painting activity. Not only the Lim Kok Wing students are good, as I have discovered.
