Sg Koyan Route 2013

The Simpang Pulai route is known to be the better road to Cameron Highlands -- although further than the Tapah route (for those travelling from South side) but less winding (and vomit-trigger!); this route offers double lanes on a number of stretches of the road, both ways. It is also scenic all the way to Kg. Raja.

The completed-in-2010 Sg Koyan route (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Federal_Route_102; C156 on Google Map) is even more scenic coupled with huge repository of forests on both sides; along the way there are a number of bridges, the longest being the 'curving bridge' with at least half a km in distance (< my estimation). The route is also longer than the Simpang Pulai way but the gradient is less felt; and is certainly milder in terms of winding and curves. For the couple of times I have been there, I did not feel the slopes unlike the other two routes, and time taken too! More farms are seen spreading down from Bertam Valley as we headed towards Ringlet.

Developments are still slow but is expected to pick up speed.
